3D Charge Imaging
Output 2
Real-time 3D charge imaging
Hundreds of times more lightning information compared to conventional 2D detection — mapped in full three dimensions.
Real-time 3D charge imaging combines observations from the project’s sensors to reconstruct where charge and developing lightning channels are distributed in a thundercloud. Frequent processing turns those complementary measurements into an evolving 3D view, providing timely information for lightning monitoring and nowcasting.
